Six Bridges Regatta

The Fourth Annual Six Bridges Regatta (6BR) will be held Saturday, October 14th.

Rowers from across the U.S. will race downtown on the Arkansas River.  Participants will launch from The Boathouse in North Little Rock and row west to the start line near the Big Rock Quarry. They’ll proceed to row under the Bearing Cross Railroad Bridge, the newly rebuilt Broadway Bridge, the Main Street Bridge, and cross the finish under the Junction pedestrian bridge. Then finish the course by paddling past the i30 and Clinton Presidential Library bridges.  Racing will consist of head races in the morning and sprints in the afternoon.

History:

First held in 1882, Little Rock’s annual regatta was a premier rowing event for clubs all across the south, due to the world-class waters of the Arkansas River and the social atmosphere that surrounded it. The tradition continues with the 3rd Six Bridges Regatta, an event celebrating the sport and the athletes who love it.
