Volunteer Opportunity - Hobbs State Park @ Townsend Ridge Trailhead | Rogers | Arkansas | United States

Please join the Ozark Off-Road Cyclists and fellow trail advocates for a volunteer opportunity at Hobbs State Park in Rogers Arkansas on Sunday Morning May 21st, 2017 at 9 am. We’ll be getting the trail system ready for the upcoming Battle for Townsend’s Ridge XC race and the War Eagle trail run!

Please wear appropriate clothing for lopping and weed eating (long pants preferred) and we request volunteers bring plenty of hydration and a snack.

We’ll spend most of the morning focused on assisting our State Parks in general trail maintenance with knocking back the overgrowth all trail systems see this time of year. This type of focused maintenance will go a long way in setting the trail system up for long term use throughout the summer months! This volunteer opportunity is Family Friendly and there is something for everyone to do, regardless of age!

Come play in the dirt with the OORC!

Additionally, this will be an AMBCS Paydirt opportunity for racers looking to earn a first place finish through volunteerism.

Oh… and bring your bikes as more than likely we’ll take a spin following the maintenance and enjoy the fruits of our efforts!
