Outback in the Ozarks

Welcome to Outback in the Ozarks! It’s the overnight running relay that will challenge you in the spirit of teamwork and fun with your family and friends. We are Northwest Arkansas’ most exciting and beautiful race! Our race begins in Historic Eureka Springs Arkansas and winds through 200 miles of the stunningly scenic “Ozark Outback” ending in vibrant Fayetteville.

Think of us as a high-speed walkabout through the best that Mother Nature has to offer. From panoramic mountain vistas and rolling valleys, to winding rivers and lush National Forests, Outback in the Ozarks will take you to another land down under full of fun and adventure!

Whether you’re a novice or elite runner, Outback in the Ozarks has something for you. Each standard team consists of 8-12 members  running 3 legs each. Legs vary from 2 to 8 miles of diverse terrain. There is also an ultra team division made up of 4-6 member teams. The end result is 200 miles covered over two days and one night, ending with bands and a barbie.

The Race route is currently under design. Specifics of the route and the final racecourse will be posted in the next few weeks. You can Pre-registeryour team now for free. Registration is limited to the first 50 teams. Upon pre-registering, you will be put on our waiting list and contacted when official registration opens. We will email you with updates once all the details are in place.
