Some people feel they must travel great distances for adventure. For Laramy Ridley and the Kayak Arkansas crew, there is plenty to be had right here in Arkansas. Kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding for 126 miles on the Buffalo National River is serious adventure, particularly over time in various seasons and changing water levels.

In Laramy’s words, “I started in the fall of 2014 to SUP the Buffalo River from Ponca to the end. With friends joining along the way the project was finished in the spring of 2015. The result I hope is a film about the Buffalo like you haven’t seen before. ”

Here is the trip in three videos:

1. Hailstone

2. Boxley Valley

3. Ponca
