RUSSELLVILLE, Ark – February 26, 2024—Ozark-St. Francis National Forests’ officials are pleased to announce the seasonal reopening of Blanchard Springs Caverns on March 1, 2024. Blanchard Springs Caverns is an Arkansas treasure and is often considered the premier guided “living” cave system open for public tour in the National Forest System. Open since July 1973, the Caverns are located off State Highway 14 between Mountain View and Fifty-Six, Ark. Visitors can experience stunning, glistening formations like stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and flowstones, which are still changing and growing due to underground stream systems and springs.
