A great turnout Wednesday night for the Arkansas premier of BÖIKZMÖIND. We had about 50 people show up on a cold wet night at the Capital Hotel in Little Rock to view the 30 minute documentary. Many attendees were regulars from Bicycle Advocacy of Central Arkansas and the Arkansas Bicycle Club which made it a wonderfully informal event. I’d like to thank Chainwheel and Spokes Little Rock for bringing some fixed gear bikes to the show to give folks something to stand around and gawk at. Thanks to Brant Collins of Station X for handling all the media and making the show go off flawlessly and Michael Chaffin and the staff of the Capital Hotel for supplying the beautiful venue and wonderful hospitality. I think this may have been the first time that the hotel staff valet parked a unicycle. Something that should go down in the history of the place.
After the movie we also had the opportunity to show the Arkansas River Trail: The Missing Link, a short film on the City of Little Rock’s plan to “close the loop” of the Arkansas River Trail. Just in case you haven’t seen it, here it is:
Let’s hope that the funding can be found for this wonderful project.
Here are a few photos from the evening:
Thanks to Gavin Strange for sharing his wonderful film with us. Now to figure out where to get a bunny suit for a ride across the Big Dam Bridge. (Sorry folks, you had to be there).
