Capital City Classic 10K @ Two Rivers Park
Apr 4 @ 8:00 am – 11:00 am

Capital City Classic 10K

The race starts within Two Rivers Park, winding through park roads until reaching the 1 mile marker near the park entrance. The first mile is all flat. Approximately 1/3 of the way through the 2nd mile, runners will exit the park and head west on County Farm Rd on a long, straight stretch lasting 1.5 miles.

The course now turns north for a short straight stretch which takes runners past the 3 mile and 5K markers. Here the course turns right and snakes southeast along Beck Rd. After running 2/3 of a mile on Beck Rd, the 4 mile marker is reached. The runners will continue on Beck Rd until returning to County Farm Rd where the course heads due east.

This second long, straight stretch along County Farm Rd lasts nearly a mile, passing the 5 mile marker, and returns the runners to Two Rivers Park. The race has now reached its final stage.

There is less than one mile to go as runners travel back over park roads to the finish line. The final stretch of the race is flat and straight, allowing the racers full view of the finish line before hitting the six mile marker. Overall, the route is very flat with few turns, and typically moderate weather allows for fast times.

Iron Pig Festival

Iron Pig Duathlon

A USA Triathlon sanctioned duathlon that consists of a 3 mile run, 18 mile bike and 3 mile run.

Iron Pig Run/Walk

5K Run and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk which are both held on the same course. The flattest course you’ll ever run/walk on!

Iron Pig Time Trial

USA Cycling sanctioned 17 mile bike time trial. Known as the “race of truth”, cyclists can test themselves against the clock. Several categories with a non-aero equipment category as well. Come set a course record or test yourself against the times of the duathlon competitors.
THE COURSES:The run courses are flat and fast! The bike course is out and back on Scenic Hwy 71. The finish is located just in front of the airport terminal. This course is geared to people looking for a challenge, but is not too hilly for an early season test. A good first-time event for an individual or team or a great way to kickoff the race season for the seasoned athlete.
