Run/SUP Race Series

The Athletic Clubs (TAC) is pleased to announce the addition of a RUN/SUP Summer Race Series to its ever increasing menu of programs and services.

Open to members and non-members, and the first of its kind in Central Arkansas, the series is modeled after the immensely popular program in the WaterColor community on the Gulf Coast of Florida.

RUN/SUP racers will complete a 1 mile run followed by a 1 mile stand up paddle (SUP). The events will start at the Two Rivers Boat Dock at the base of River Mountain Road in Little Rock. After completing a run across the Two Rivers Park Bridge and back, athletes will hit TAC-supplied boards for a paddle on the Little Maumelle, a non-current tributary of the Arkansas River.

Held most Wednesday evenings in June and July, the series will wrap up with “Championship Day” on Wednesday, August 1. TAC RUN/SUP captains will issue invitations to the top 8 male and female racers on the leaderboard for the “winner takes all” race.

The series is open to athletes 12+ years old. Members AND non-members can participate! Race registration is first-come, first-served, with only 8 spots per race, so sign up now! Racers should plan on checking in at 6 pm. The timed races will start at 6:30 pm. Friends, family, and the community is invited to come watch and cheer participants–we’d love a crowd!
