The 52-mile cultural bicycle tour through the Sunken Lands of Arkansas includes stops at four regional museums including the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home. Starts at the Southern Tenant Farmer’s Museum in Tyronza. Registration includes admission to all museums, a mid-ride “warming soup” at the John Gresham Painted House and an Americana post-ride meal at Tyboogies.
The product of America’s greatest earthquake, the Sunken Lands are home to unique lowland swamps and agricultural open spaces. More than a bicycle ride, the Tour duh Sunken Lands is a cultural trip through the times that made northeast Arkansas. The 52-mile loop includes admission to regional and international attractions like the Southern Tenant Farmers Museum, the Historic Dyess Colony, and the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home. There will be a warming soup station at the Painted House, used in the movie adaptation of the John Grisham novel. Come for the ride and hospitality; leave with a new understanding of the Sunken Lands.
