Sylamore Ranger District

The 1.2-million acre Ozark-St. Francis National Forests offer endless opportunities for adventure. As one of America’s most scenic and picturesque areas, the Ozark-St. Francis provides a lot of the “natural” in the Natural State of Arkansas.

Ozark Highlands 50K

The course will start out at Norfork River Resort and proceed towards the Ozark Highlands Trail via 2.7 miles of rolling roads. The trail traverses through numerous hollows and takes participants across some of the most rugged and remote terrain in the Ozark National Forest. Runners will follow the Ozark Highlands Trail-Sylamore Section on an out & back course. There are three aid stations on the route and drop bags are allowed at the Twin Creek Aid Station, which is also the turnaround for the shorter 35K course.

Twin Creek 35K

This course option will follow the same route as the Ozark Highlands 50K, but turnaround at Twin Creek Road Aid Station. Great idea for those wanting to experience the Sylamore Ranger District trails, but not quite ready for the 50K.

Norfork River Resort

We hope you’ll make plans to stay the weekend and take advantage of the great post-race festivities and the beautiful Norfork River Valley. Contact the resort to find out more details about things to do.

Post Race Experience

We love our Trailrunning community and look forward to sharing our little neck of the woods with everyone. After the race, we hope you’ll join us in cheering on other runners as they make their way to the Resort. We’ll have live music, and craft beers from our friends at Norfork Brewing Company and Mel & Company will be serving up gourmet brats, soup and her famous Monster Cookies!

Awards & Swag

We like to support our local artists & businesses! Our finisher’s awards are creatively done by Mr. Glenn Cunningham and will not disappoint. Each participant will also receive a soft-style T-shirt and an official Ozark Highlands Trail patch from the Ozark Highlands Trail Association. For those that stay till our final 50K participant finishes, you will be entered into the drawing for some sweet prizes courtesy of Norfork Adventure Supply!
